Good
the access to the room in different blocks can be quite confusing while manoeuvring with heavy luggage. maybe for seniors should assign to blocks that is easy to access. also why would housekeeping keeps the tissue box in drawers( how would guest expects that location) . no shower caps and vanity kit provided which are basic necessities.

1) I was disturbed at work for a collection of the room rate when I opted to pay at the property 2 weeks prior to stay . My rate was 780.30 but I was charged 795.91. 2) On the day of check on 17th October , we arrived at the hotel at 1pm, no smile or greeting from the two ladies at the front. A chap arrived at 1.20 and checked in. I went and asked the lady at the reception is check in 2pm, she asked for my details and said the room was not ready and will monitor it.. Made us wait till 1.50pm. On check in at 1.50, asked for the credit card without any reason. I had to say I had paid the full amount . Then mentioned a 50 nzd deposit which will be reverted back on departure. 3) All other staff members when they saw my wife and I greeted us , this lady in the reception had zero customer service skills and was not pleasant with major attitude. 4) We had no problem checking in at 1pm at the Rydges in Wellington on the 20th October. Also, last year we stayed at the millennium hotel in Queenstown and no check in issues.

Nice hotel in a good location. The hotel looks dated and tired. It can do with a freshen-up.
The views from our room were outstanding and uninterrupted. The hotel's location is great but with lots of road works navigating around a bit tricky. The hotel is well-appointed but looks a little dated and tired. It could do with some makeovers.
